Rain drops are capable of generating energy
The CEA in Grenoble is working on a why to generate energy from rain drops. The technology is being developed around the piezoelectric principles, which is the bending or deforming of an object leading to the generation of power.Although this is a great idea for creating power such as electricity the technology is still in it's development stage and in the long term would be difficult to role out in large scale.
